Mission
To increase the quality of beach volleyball at the youth level by exposing athletes in the region to the areas best trained coaches in a competitive setting.

Club Structure
There are no tryouts for the club; any athlete that is ready to commit themselves to train in a competitive setting will be accepted into the club.  The club is open to athletes born between 1991 and 1994 (exceptions can be made for athletes born outside this age range).
As part of the club, athletes will receive 3 training sessions a week (except on tournament weekends) with Ottawa’s best coaches and entry into 5 tournaments.
Players can sign up as individual athletes or as a duo.  Athletes will be matched up in training sessions with players of the same gender and of similar age.

The Practice schedule is pending the coaches availability (it will likely be Monday afternoon, Wednesday night, and Saturday morning).

Coaching Staff
Stu Hamilton (18U Boys)
A dominant figure in Ottawa's beach volleyball scene as a player having won numerous tournaments in the area over the last 3 summers.  Stu has represented Ottawa proudly over the years having won medals at beach Provincial and National Championships.  In 2006 Stu was selected to Canada's 21U Beach Volleyball National Team where he represented Canada proudly at the 21U World Championships in Poland.
Stu hopes to impart his wealth of playing experience to 18U boys teams in the area who are looking to reach the pinnacle of the sport in Canada.
 

Frank St-Denis (16U Girls)
Frank, a certified level II coach, has been coaching youth volleyball for over 15 years at all ages, genders, and surfaces. His hard-nosed, demanding approach to the game has earned him the respect of his peers as one of Ontario’s top coaches. His long coaching resume includes coaching in les jeux du Quebec, the Ontario regional games, les jeux de la francophonie, and the Mizuno clinic.
Frank has recently taken on the challenge of starting up a Sport-Etude program at Louis Riel, which combines academic success and athletic excellence in a very focused setting.
Frank’s most notable results as a coach include an East Nationals Championship (2009)- 16U boys, an Ontario Summer Games Gold medal (2008), a Bronze medal at OVA Beach Provincials - 21U girls, and 4 OFSAA titles.


Chris Smeaton (16U Boys)
This certified level 2 coach has been active in the Ottawa volleyball community for over 7 years as a coach now.  Over this stretch of time he has brought an impressive 7 teams to a provincial final four.  Chris coached the only Ottawa team to ever win an 18U Boys provincial championship, which he accomplished in 2004.
Chris has been actively coaching beach volleyball for the last 3 years.  His most notable accomplishment coaching on the sand was bringing the team of Hamilton - DeBruyn to the 2006 21U World Championships.
Chris's process oriented style of coaching which focuses on strong fundamentals makes him the perfect coach for athletes that will be getting their first exposure to playing the sport at a high level.
 
Patrick Corriveau (18U Girls)
Patrick brings a wealth of volleyball coaching and playing experience at a high level.  As a player he has been a part of numerous Provincial Championship teams and has also been to 6 National Final Fours, including the 2003 CIS National Championship team.
During the summer of 2008 Patrick coached in the Women's Provincial Beach Team Program (20U), and was the head coach of the Ottawa's Provincial Team members Rebecca Crosier and Claudia Seguin.  With Rebecca's success on the beach this past summer she was the second youngest athlete in the nation invited to the Senior National Team tryouts.
